About The Oliver Tambo Golf Youth Academy

Our Story, Our People, Our Purpose

The Oliver Tambo Golf Youth Academy exists to carry a legacy of leadership and service forward — using the game of golf to build character in South Africa's youth.

Our Mission

To honour the legacy of Oliver Tambo by using golf as a vehicle for development, education, leadership, and social impact.

Our Vision

To become South Africa's leading youth golf development Oliver Tambo Golf Youth Academy — empowering young people with the skills, values, and opportunities to thrive in life and lead with purpose.

Our History

An Oliver Tambo Golf Youth Academy Built On Legacy

The Oliver Tambo Golf Youth Academy was established by a community of golfers, coaches, and business leaders who saw in the game an opportunity to do what Oliver Tambo himself did throughout his life — open doors for others.

What began as informal coaching clinics for young people from underserved communities has grown into a structured Youth Golf Academy, an annual Charity Golf Day, and a donor community united by a single belief: that discipline, perseverance, and mentorship learned on the course can shape leaders for life.

Every programme we run and every rand we raise is measured against one question — does it honour the legacy of a man who dedicated his life to the advancement of others?
